There are about a million ways somebody can ruin a perfectly fine date. Perhaps they get a little too drunk, exercise their ability to gaslight you, or pretend they don't remember things to seem busier than you. Actually, this list could go on and on. Realistically, most of our dates with different people will be underwhelming, because if we were blown away by every single person we went out with that would be grossly overwhelming. How would one manage all of those emotions? What are the odds they will be reciprocated?
We are all also capable of getting the ick even after a few dates with someone, and that can be rough. Because by that point you probably can't just end things with them over text, you'll have to actually get up and face them and try to explain how something they did totally, irreversibly turned you off.
